SILVERDALE — The Kitsap Community Foundation has added a scholarship for South Kitsap High School seniors and Olympic College students seeking a four-year degree in mechanical engineering.

The scholarship is $1,000 that can be used to help pay tuition. Applicants with an interest in music also are preferred. Previous recipients of the scholarship may reapply for subsequent years of study.

Applications are due April 15.

Kitsap Community Foundation is a tax-exempt public non-profit organization whose mission is to help Kitsap County residents by connecting people with civic causes.
