Kingston’s open house is next week

Kingston is opening its doors.

On Wednesday March 18 community organizers are hosting the annual Kingston Open House at Kingston Middle School from 7-9 p.m.

Greg Platz, co-chair of the Kingston Citizen’s Advisory Committee (KCAC), the event’s organizing body, said nearly 50 vendors are booked for the event.

He said six years ago about 200 people attended and the last two years more than 350 showed up.

“It’s the one event KCAC puts on to really provide the opportunity for the Kingston area people to come in and really get answers,” Platz said. “It’s a great social event.”

Platz said all the county agencies will be there — the Department of Community Development, Parks and Recreation, roads, the stream team.

“So all the county questions you want to get answered face-to-face you can come to county row and get the answers,” he said. “It’s always just packed.”
