With Halloween just around the corner, here are some spooky-related events happening around North Kitsap over the next few weeks.

Ghosts in the Graveyard, Poulsbo (Oct. 21, 1-3 p.m. at First Lutheran Church graveyard on Lincoln Road) The spirits of Poulsbo pioneers will be awaiting. Be ready to be treated by tales of our ancestors. Wear comfortable walking shoes. It is a free event for all ages, but not for the fainthearted as the cemetery perches on a hilltop. Children’s activities are the trick and light refreshments will be your treat. Costumes are encouraged. Crafts and treats while supplies last.

Ghoulsbo Halloween trick-or-treating (Oct. 31, 4-6 p.m. in downtown Poulsbo) Come out for a spooky night for the whole family in historic downtown Ghoulsbo! Front Street will be transformed into a Halloween wonderland with trick-or-treating. Event runs from 4-6 p.m. or until businesses run out of candy. Celebrate a safe Halloween as Front Street is closed for trick-or-treating with candy provided by downtown merchants.

Halloween in Port Gamble (Oct. 31, 1-5 p.m.) Trick-or-treat at the shops of Port Gamble. All ages welcome. Bring a can of food to support ShareNet Food Bank in Kingston. At 4 p.m. there will be a dance mob to the Michael Jackson song “Thriller.” Adults and kids are encouraged to wear costumes and dance to the spooky tune.

Port Gamble Ghost Walk (Oct. 20-21, 27-28 and 31) A guided tour of historic Port Gamble including stops in the museum, community center, cemetery and the famed Walker-Ames mansion. Bring a flashlight. Events run from 7-10 p.m. and is for ages 16 and older. Cost is $30 per person, reservations required. The season runs through April. For details, go to portgambleparanormal.com.
