The following are from complaints from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office:
Jan. 29: • The 15-year-old boy’s mother contacted the sheriff’s office and reported her son was in assaulted at South Kitsap Community Park located in the 2800 block of SE Lund Avenue. The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. The boy reported he walked into the park and saw three juveniles smoking marijuana. He walked past them and the three teens started calling him names. The boy reported he was struck more than 20 times by the teens in the face and kicked in the head. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. One suspect is described as a 5-foot-9 while male, 170 pounds with curly hair over his ears. The second suspect is a 5-5 white male wearing a baseball cap with a flat bill. The third suspect is describe as mixed-race, with his dark hair in a buzz cut style.
Jan. 28:• A 52-year-old female was arrested for driving under the influence near the intersection of SW Pine Road and Sidney Avenue. Deputies arrived at the scene about 10:42 p.m. and discovered a 1998 Mitsubishi Montero SUV in the ditch, and two intoxicated females. The woman was taken to the Kitsap County Jail for DUI and driving with license suspended/revoked. Her bail was set at $25,000.• A 20-year-old Ollala man was arrested and booked into the Kitsap County Jail for hit and run, and making false or misleading statements to law enforcement. Deputies responded to the 14800 block of Cresent Valley Road in Ollala and were notified a black Toyota sports car was involved in a hit-and-run collision. Deputies also discovered damaged mailboxes. A witness gave deputies the plate numbers of the car and went to the vehicle owner’s home. After interviewing the driver and passenger in the car at the time of the accident, the driver was arrested. Bail was set at $5,000.• A theft was reported at a business in the 4500 block of Mile Hill Drive in Port Orchard. An assistant supervisor reported between June 11 and Jan. 25, someone(s) stole 21 batteries out of seven supply boxes. The case is still under investigation.
