Graduation ceremonies aplenty over next 2 weeks

Get ready to hear a whole lot of Pomp and Circumstance over the next two weeks as students across Kitsap County secure their ticket to their next phases in life.

Graduation ceremonies will play out for schools in Central and South Kitsap, kicked off by Bremerton High’s June 7 graduation at Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m. Gates are expected to open at 5:30, but for those unable to attend, links to livestreams in English or Spanish are available on the district website.

Those needing handicapped parking and seating can call the BHS office at 360-473-0800.

South Kitsap High School will return to the Tacoma Dome for its graduation at 1 p.m. June 8.

Each graduate is allotted 10 free tickets to distribute to friends and family. Additional tickets are available for purchase by the seniors, but only seniors with student ID can pick up the tickets from the ASB office.

Tickets are required for entrance when doors open at noon, and a clear bag policy is being enforced. Those commuting to the event should expect traffic delays and should also plan to pay for parking. A livestream will also be made available.

All three high schools in the Central Kitsap School District will run their graduation ceremonies on back-to-back-to-back days, with livestreams available for all three on the district webpage.

Klahowya Secondary School’s students will be first in line at 6 p.m. June 13 in Klahowya Stadium. The ceremony is ticketed, with access only available via graduating seniors.

Olympic High School will fall in next June 14 at 6:30 p.m. in what is also a ticketed ceremony on its football field. Six tickets are allotted to each graduating senior, but additional ones can be acquired through requests. Seniors who do not need the full six tickets can donate their excess tickets back into the pool of available admissions.

Central Kitsap High School will close the long week with its June 15 ceremony at 1 p.m. Along with six tickets, each senior is allotted a parking pass for their family to use on the school’s campus. Off-site parking with shuttle service will be available at the CKSD Operations Center with two adjacent lots. Gates for the football stadium open one hour prior to the ceremony.
