Kitsap County Superior Court cases

A 32-year-old Port Orchard man was in Kitsap County Superior Court Aug. 9 charged with attempting to elude and DUI.

Bail was $150,000. He faces six years in prison and $15,000 in fines.

Court records say Bremerton police responded to the 2000 block of 13th Street at 5:15 p.m. Aug. 8. An officer saw a vehicle going 50 mph in a 30 mph zone. The suspect vehicle took off. Police caught up to it at an apartment, but it took off again. Another pursuit took place, with the suspect going through stop signs and driving recklessly. He was able to avoid spike strips, but another officer finally cut him off to get him to stop. He said he didn’t stop because there is a warrant out for his arrest. Believing he was under the influence of a stimulant, a blood warrant was issued.

Photos of minors

A 43-year-old Bremerton man was in Superior Court Aug. 9 charged with two counts of first-degree depictions of a minor under 13.

Bail was $100,000. He faces 20 years in prison and $40,000 in fines.

Court records show online technology discovered the suspect had 150 files containing depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct Sept. 12, 2023. Another cyber tip led to the same suspect May 24, 2023. Examples in the report show girls 3-5 and 6-9 years old having sex. The suspect is already listed as a convicted and registered sex offender. Records also show the suspect also kidnapped a girl, tied her up and held her against her will in a Sept. 23, 2023 case. Because there was a question about a phone being stolen the suspect is only being charged with two counts.

Robbery charge

A 39-year-old Bremerton man was in Superior Court Aug. 8 charged with first-degree robbery with a deadly weapon.

Bail was $75,000. He faces life in prison and a $50,000 fine.

Court records show Bremerton police responded Jan. 29 at 9:40 a.m. to the 400 block of Lebo Boulevard. A woman was arrested on a warrant. But said she had been robbed at gunpoint the previous day. She was sleeping in her car when she awoke to the suspect with his hand around her neck. He said if she made a noise he would kill her and her dog. She has known the suspect since they were teens. She said three items worth $270 were stolen. The suspect was wearing Chicago Bulls merch. Police later showed her a montage of six photos, and she picked out the suspect. “I’ll never forget that face,” she said.

The suspect also was being held on $50,000 bail for theft of a firearm. He faces 10 years in prison and $20,000 in fines on that charge.

On Aug. 5 at 11:40 a.m. police were told the suspect stole a gun from a victim. It was taken from his “weapons wall,” which has 13 other firearms. The suspect is an acquaintance who comes by periodically.

Indecent liberties

A 41-year-old Poulsbo man was in Superior Court Aug. 6 looking for a change in conditions for his release after being charged with indecent liberties and second-degree assault.

He faces life in prison and $50,000 in fines on the first charge and 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine on the second. Bail on each charge was $100,000.

Court records say officers were dispatched to a previous sex offense on Dec. 30, 2023 at 8:40 p.m. The reporting party said a 12-year-old girl was forced to touch the private parts of her mother’s boyfriend.

Court records also show that Poulsbo police responded Dec. 29, 2023 at 10:46 p.m. to the 19600 block of Ash Crest Loop. A victim had a three-inch laceration on the back of her head and was bloody. She said she was pushed by her boyfriend of three months, fell backward and hit her head on the pavement. Later, the boyfriend said she fell because she had been drinking.

Warrant arrest

A 30-year-old Bremerton man was in Superior Court Aug. 9 arrested on a warrant from July of 2022 for felony violation of a court order.

Bail was $100,000. He faces at least five years in prison and a $10,000 fine, but it could be longer since it’s his third such arrest.

Court records say Kitsap deputies responded April 2, 2022, at 2:30 a.m. to the 3000 block of Olympus Drive NE to an assault in progress. The victim’s son said the suspect pushed her despite a non-expiring protection order.

The suspect sped away on a motorcycle when police arrived, and they could not catch him, leading to the warrant and recent arrest.
