POULSBO — The North Kitsap Vikings varsity team is looking to expand its lead in the Olympic League today, April 8.

The Vikings (6-0-0-1) are the top team in the league, with 18 points. In order to remain the No. 1, the Vikings must defeat the Sequim Wolves.

The Vikings have lost one game, none of the Vikings’ games have gone to a shootout.

North Kitsap head coach Greg St. Peter said the team has confidence, and good leadership. The team is consistent, he said.

Top scorers for the Vikings include Brady Sparrow, Mason Foster and Daniel Norberg.

Though St. Peter expects the Wolves to be quick and strong, one of the biggest challenges for the Vikings is playing a game the first day back from spring break, he said.

A win for the Vikings against the Wolves would bring their point total to 21, and a more solid lead in the league.
