South Kitsap’s season left much to be desired after a fiery 3-0 start was dampened by another winless season in league play, but six athletes from the 2024 squad received honors in the South Puget Sound League’s all-league voting.
Senior lineman Josaiah Asuega was the Wolves’ sole recipient of a first-team spot after recording another season with over 40 tackles and multiple sacks. Asuega has three Division 1 offers as of Nov. 30, including FCS rivals Montana and Montana State and the New Mexico Lobos out of the Mountain West Conference.
Junior wideout and top target Thomas Frei earned second-team honors alongside a leading tackler in senior linebacker Owen Kraut and senior running back Brycen Clay after eclipsing 1,000 yards and racking 18 trips to the endzone.
Junior quarterback Franklin Fox earned an honorable mention, and freshman Dyvonte Sellers was honored as a specialist.
Voting was also finalized for the 3A Puget Sound League, in which Central Kitsap’s Timothy Sousou was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year. The junior linebacker was flying around the turf this season, recording 82 tackles, 57 solo tackles and 23 tackles for loss while also recording four sacks and a fumble recovery.
First-team all-league spots went to tight end Pierce Williford, defensive lineman Johnny Taylor and defensive back Jaden Williams. Linebacker Halsey Schuette, offensive lineman Angelo Antonacci and linebacker Caden Warren received second-team honors. Linebacker Ansel Aurenhamer and wideout Riley Kolda were given honorable mentions.
