Fairgrounds attracts ghosts from New Orleans

The most haunted city in America, New Orleans, comes to Kitsap Haunted Fairgrounds this year with new animatronics and special effects.

BREMERTON — The most haunted city in America, New Orleans, comes to Kitsap Haunted Fairgrounds this year with new animatronics and special effects. Organized and managed by the Kingston-North Kitsap Rotary Club and Kitsap Haunted Productions, the fright nights begin Oct. 10 and run every Friday and Saturday evening through Nov. 1.

The “lights-on time” for young children is 5-6 p.m. each day of the haunt with the “full scare” experience 6-11 p.m.

The fairgrounds are located at 1200 NW Fairgrounds Rd.

Take a self-guided tour through the cemetery with above-ground tombs, and experience “Cities of the Dead” — a crossroads between the worlds of the living and the dead. Demonic clowns run rampant among ghosts of notorious New Orleans serial killers and voodoo practitioners. The entire event is indoors, spread out over 22,000 square feet and three buildings at the fairgrounds. Concessions will be available outside.

Admission is $12 with all proceeds benefiting the community and charities designated by the Rotary Club. Bring a canned food donation for $1 off admission. A VIP admission is available this year for $20, which is good for two times through the haunt plus front-of-the-line privileges.
