BASEBALL

Kingston defeats Port Townsend, 3-0

The Kingston High baseball team defeated Port Townsend Wednesday, 3-0. Tyler Klopp recorded the win for the Buccaneers. He allowed three hits and struck out nine batters in six innings. Kingston improved to 3-0 overall with the win. The Bucs host North Kitsap High at 4 p.m. Friday.

FASTPITCH

Kingston shellacks Port Townsend

The Kingston High fastpitch team defeated Port Townsend Wednesday, 16-2. The Buccaneers had a 10-run second inning. Katie Lomas struck out seven and recorded the win. Greta Coleman led Kingston, batting 4-for-4 with two in the park home runs. Jordan Tapp was 3-for-4 with a homer. Kingston will host North Kitsap at 4 p.m. Friday.

GOLF

Kingston falls to Gig Harbor

The Kingston High girls golf team fell to Gig Harbor Wednesday at White Horse Golf Course, 108-29. Kingston had just two golfers, Elle Sander and Sophia Baetz, as three team members were unable to attend the match. Gig Harbor’s Christin Drumm and McKenzie Fosburg won medalist honors, each shooting a 46.

The Kingston boys also lost to Gig Harbor, 58-38. Gig Harbor’s Nick Larson took medalist honors, shooting a 37.
