BREMERTON — The Kingston Buccaneers wrestling team finished third overall during the first Bremerton Holiday Brawl tournament Jan. 3.

The Bucs accumulated 127 points during the tournament. Stanwood placed first during the tournament with 151. Columbia River placed second with 135.5.

Peyton Reece and Julian Leigh each took home gold for the Bucs. Reece, wrestling in the 126-pound weight class, finished first over North Kitsap’s Trinity Stracener and Stanwoods Carson Phillips.

Leigh won in the 285-pound weight class over Olympic’s Dominic Battaglia, Stanwood’s Carson Houk and Bremerton’s Abraham Bartlett.

Though the Vikings finished seventh overall, they had a top finisher as well.

Erick Powell took first in the 132-pound weight class over Stanwood’s Nathan McCaughan, and Bremerton’s Cyrus Torgenson and Cobey Vetch.
