Sheriff’s deputies responded to a stabbing that occurred at 3:55 p.m. June 3 at a residence in the 13600 block of Connor Loop NW in Silverdale. A 33-year-old woman said her 15-year-old son stabbed her in the back with a camping knife.

Deputies arrived and found the woman sitting in front of the house holding a bloody towel over her right shoulder. The woman’s three other children, ages 18, 9 and 3, were sitting outside with her.

The woman said her 15-year-old son was inside the house and deputies went inside and took him into custody.

The woman told a deputy she was inside the house and yelled at the teen about his planner not being filed. She said she didn’t see him, but then there was a sharp pain in her neck and shoulder area.

The woman’s 18-year-old daughter said her 15-year-old brother has a temper and anger management issues. She told the deputy he assaulted their mother in the past.

The woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The teen was arrested and booked into juvenile detention for first-degree assault.

Sister act

A sheriff’s deputy responded to a physical dispute between a man and woman sitting inside a Jeep around 6 p.m. June 3 in a parking lot on NE Silver Pine Drive in East Bremerton. The woman was screaming that the man put his hands on her.

As the deputy approached the vehicle in the parking lot, it started to leave. He watched it drive around the parking lot before stopping again.

The 23-year-old Silverdale woman got out of the driver’s seat and gave the deputy a false name and birth date. The woman appeared intoxicated. She took a field sobriety test and was subsequently arrested for DUI. She later blew a .181 on a Breathalyzer test.

The woman said nothing happened inside the Jeep, but she had dried blood on her arms.

The 31-year-old male passenger said there was no physical dispute, but he had blood on his shirt. The man kept referring to the woman by a different name than what she told the deputy. The man told the deputy she gave him her sister’s name and birth date.

The woman was arrested and booked into jail for DUI and giving a false or misleading statement. Her bail is set at $30,000.

Tuck and roll

A sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a woman jumping from a moving truck around 5:15 p.m. June 1 at the intersection of NW Anderson Hill Road and Provost Road NW in Silverdale.

Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue medics were treating the 30-year-old South Kitsap woman and said she told them she had been hitchhiking from Bremerton. She was picked up and the driver refused to let her out of his truck, so she got scared and jumped from the moving vehicle, according to the medics.

Medics then transported the woman to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

The deputy spoke with several witnesses who said the older, primer gray, full-size truck was traveling westbound on NW Anderson Hill Road. The truck went into the eastbound lane of travel, passing cars stopped in the left turn lane and then entered the intersection on the wrong side of the road and against a red light. The truck then turned left on Provost Road, according to the witnesses.

Witnesses said the woman was standing on the running board of the truck, holding onto the open passenger door and waving her arm. She then lost her balance or jumped from the vehicle, rolling as she hit the pavement.

The driver of the truck was described as an older, white male with a beard and mustache.
