This does not have anything to do with the widening of Southworth Drive, but it is a problem in the same area.
I often wonder about the safety where the road going east comes to the Harper Dock.
That corner is a hard right turn. There are flashing warning lights and speed limits set, yet people still drive to fast around the corner and some end up going through the baricade into the water.
I think if there was a stop sign at that right turn, instead of all the warnings, it would eliminate this problem.
The traffic going the opposite direction would not need to stop, only the traffic heading east.
Is there anyone else thinking of this besides me?
Who in our government/planning department is it that this suggestion could be sent to.
Seems to make sense to me. Also, this would eliminate the annoying flashing light for the residents who live there.
Install signs to alert of the stop sign.
In time, the travelers would know there is as stop there.
What do you think?
