POULSBO — Derek Jacobson of the North Kitsap Lacrosse Club has been nominated for High School Player of the Week by KING 5 News.
North Kitsap (5-4-0, 5-5-0) is in third place in the Narrows/Olympic Conference of the Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association. The team is comprised of players from North Kitsap High School, Kingston High School, Chief Kitsap Academy and West Sound Academy.
Jacobson plays attack. He scored two goals and snagged three ground balls on April 19 vs. Stadium; and scored five goals, had two assists and snagged four ground balls on April 21 vs. Olympia.
Of all players in the 74-team WHSBLA, Jacobson is fourth in goals (27), tied for fourth in assists (10), and is eighth in ground balls (30).
