Two men were arrested in Bremerton Jan. 26 after assaulting a 24-year-old outside a bar and ordering a juvenile to strip down to his boxers in the street.

Police responded to the intersection of Fifth Street and Naval Avenue at 12:30 a.m., where they met the 911 caller for the boy. He told police he was driving north on Naval Avenue when he heard a boy yell, “They just robbed my friend” and saw another boy wearing only boxers and socks, according to Bremerton police reports. He invited the boy into his car.

The boy told officers he was walking north on Naval and was approached by a man at the corner near the Fuzzy Naval, demanding the boy’s wallet. When the boy turned out his pants pockets to show he had no wallet, the man asked him to strip down to his underwear and hand over his clothes. Officers found two men in their 20s near the Fuzzy Naval with the boy’s clothes laying next to them and arrested them for investigation of second-degree robbery.

While the men were being taken to the Kitsap County jail, reports came in that the same two men assaulted a 24-year-old Bremerton man outside the Pour House Pub. The 24-year-old told police he was drinking with the suspects and made comments about “skinheads and Hispanics” they didn’t like. The men went to the AM/PM across the street and when they returned, they punched the 24-year-old and kicked him on the ground. Assault charges were added.
