Local police, active duty military and civilians will take to the firing line at the August 3-5 for The Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club Aug. 3 for a multi-day shooting match.

The clubs 19th annual Courage Classic Charity Shooting Match will be held the club’s facilities on the Seabeck Highway in Central Kitsap County.

The popular shooting match started in 1994 in effort to build community through good hearted fun and competitive team spirit. This year’s multi-gun event will benefit the Combat Casualty Assistance Campaign of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (www.nmcrs.org).

More than 60 shooters will fire pistols, rifles and shotguns while navigating 10 stages of moving and stationary targets ranging from point blank to 200 yards. The match also features a specially created 360-degree stage that will test the skilled marksmen.

According to Marcus Carter, best opportunity for spectators is on Saturday, Aug. 4th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
