Barbara M. Rerecich died May 15 at Island Health and Rehabilitation on Bainbridge Island. She was 85.

Born Sept. 15, 1927 in The Dalles, Ore. to Clarence and Moree Blize. Graduated from Waitsburg High School in 1945 and from Eastern Washington State College.

Owned and operated funeral homes in Port Townsend and Bainbridge Island.

Married Nick Rerecich in 1975. Enjoyed gardening, boating and travel.

Survived by stepdaughter, Linda Richards (Guy); sister, LeeNore Finch (Nolan); nephew, Greg Finch (Vanessa); extended family and friends.

Graveside service May 23, 1 p.m., Kane Cemetery on Bainbridge Island.
