Children’s Garden Montessori School of Poulsbo offers two free introduction classes for montessori classroom activities for preschoolers and their parents. Parents and children will spend time both inside and outside exploring the natural wonders of the garden along with the montessori classroom resources to learn more about the parts of flowers, how seeds grow and leaf shapes. Children may create bouquets or leaf collections to take home. Parents will gain insight into montessori methods and principles. Parents and children ages 2 and a half to 4 are welcome. Space is limited, please call (360) 779-1225 to sign up for one or both mornings.

Be Scene – all day youth

Spend your school’s Learning Improvement Day learning about the theater. The Recreation Center’s Be Scene Youth Theater Program is for kids ages 9-15 and will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 12. Day camp activities include simple costumes, set construction, and best of all, acting. Gain experience in teamwork, speaking before a group, thinking on your feet and the marvel of drama. Please bring a sack lunch and a snack. Class cost is $44. Please register by 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Recreation Center 19540 Front Street, Poulsbo. For more information call (360) 779-9898.
