Angel invites residents to participate in Feb. 19 telephone town hall

OLYMPIA — Sen. Jan Angel encourages residents from the 26th Legislative District to participate in a telephone town-hall meeting starting at 7 p.m. Feb. 19.

Angel will host the hour-long community conversation, much like an interactive radio program, during which participants may ask questions or just listen to the conversation about issues that affect their district and state.

“I’m looking forward to connecting with constituents and addressing the issues they are most concerned about,” said Angel, R-Port Orchard. “A telephone town hall is a very effective way for me to communicate with hundreds and often thousands of residents at the same time — and people can participate from the comfort of their own homes.”

On the evening of the teleforum, participants may receive an automated call inviting them to stay on the line to participate, or they may call toll-free 360-667-3003 or go to listen.townhallinteractive.com and enter this PIN: 565780.

“I have a number of bills moving forward to address issues brought to me by those in our community,” said Angel. “With major transportation and budget issues ahead of us this year, feedback from constituents is even more important than ever. I encourage everyone to tune in and bring your questions.”
