The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) has awarded the South Kitsap School District its Meritorious Budget Award for excellence in budget presentation.

The award is conferred only to school districts that have met or exceeded strict criteria. To earn the award, SKSD submitted the 2013-2014 budget for a rigorous review based on stringent criteria.

The award criteria was developed by ASBO and is designed to guide school business officials’ skills in developing, analyzing, and presenting a school system budget.
