Third of July in Poulsbo

North Kitsap festivities begin Saturday in Poulsbo as the 3rd of July celebration returns to the waterfront.

Noon — Food and craft vendors open shop along Anderson Parkway.

Noon- 8 p.m. — Entertainment lineup begins at the Kvelstad Pavilion.

8-10 p.m. — The U.S. Navy Band takes the stage.

10:15 p.m. — Fireworks begin over Liberty Bay. Music for the show will be simulcast on KITZ 1400 AM radio.

Getting there — Bus service to the waterfront begins at 4 p.m. and runs to 11 p.m. The bus serves Poulsbo Middle School and North Kitsap High School, where free parking is available. Fares are $2 for a round trip.

Fourth of July in Kingston

Kingston will celebrate the fourth with the Tiny Town children’s festival, a parade, music and fireworks.

Tiny Town — The children’s festival runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 3 and 4. See www.kingstontinytown.com for more information.

Breakfasts — The Greater Hansville Community Center at Buck Lake Park will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on July 4. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children ages 3-10.

The Kingston Cove Yacht Club will hold its breakfast from 8-11 a.m. July 4. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children under 10.

Fun run — Runners will meet at 8 a.m. at Kingston Fitness on Barber Cut Off Road for a fun run. Runs include 10K, 5K and a one-mile dash.

Farmers Market — A special Kingston Farmers Market will host live music at Mike Wallace Park. Country and pop musician Kel Schmitz plays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Marcus Dean takes over from 1-3 p.m.

Music at the port — Music organized by the Fourth of July Celebration committee takes the stage from 7 p.m. until the fireworks start. Here’s the lineup:

8-8:45 p.m. — Good Enough

9 to fireworks — House of Cards

Fireworks— A fireworks show over Appletree Cove will begin at dark.
