Rough-housing with kids escalates to choking

Rough-housing with the kids escalated Sunday when a husband choked his wife.

Kitsap County sheriff’s deputies were called to the house on the 6000 block of NE Wee Wun Way, Suquamish, for a domestic assault.

The victim, a 30-year-old woman, said the fight with her husband started when he instructed their young son to “smack her in the head,” reports said.

It upset the woman, and the fight started, ending with the 35-year-old man choking the woman and pulling her hair.

The couple’s 2-year-old daughter was present for the assault, the woman said.

Deputies interviewed the man at his work, the Clearwater Casino, where he admitted to the assault.

He was booked into the Kitsap County jail for investigation of second-degree assault.
