Parks district: Kingston would benefit from community center

Indianola, Hansville, Port Gamble and Poulsbo have vibrant communities built around their community centers. Kingston has come of age with a large number of volunteer organizations supporting their community and the wider community. But the community center is a shambles, very small, houses a library without even minimally adequate space, and might need major repairs at any time. Grants can be obtained to build a new community center but only if residents of the area will vote for the money to maintain it. This will cost the average homeowner $50 to $60 a year.

Kingston residents: Vote for this levy and join the other North Kitsap communities in providing quality support for all those free, volunteer-supported community organizations from which we all benefit.
