Port Orchard police are asking for the public’s help to find a man suspected of firing a handgun outside of the Goodwill Store Dec. 21.
Police say that video surveillance and other evidence shows that Jarod R. Pasley, 30, was attempting to shoplift at the store in the 1700 block of Mile Hill shortly before the shooting.
“He struggled with the employees and when he went out the back door to try to escape, he pulled out a small caliber handgun and fired a couple of rounds off, apparently into the air,” said Port Orchard Police Sergeant Dale Schuster.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Schuster said that Pasley has spent time in the Auburn area and the KPN area of Pierce County.
The incident occurred at around 7 p.m. Friday. An attempt to track Pasley with a K-9 unit “didn’t pan out,” Sgt. Schuster added.
Folks who see Pasley or know his whereabouts should not approach him and instead immediately call 911.
