St. Vincent de Paul reaches its $100K goal

St. Vincent de Paul has reached its goal of raising $100,000 to complete its down-payment requirements to build a new facility in Port Orchard.

St. Vincent de Paul has reached its goal of raising $100,000 to complete its down-payment requirements to build a new facility in Port Orchard.

 

Sean Jeu, general manager and director of operations for the Port Orchard not-for–profit organization, announced Friday on Facebook that the fundraising goal has been met.

Here’s Jeu’s Facebook announcement:

“From all of us at St Vincent de Paul thank you Port Orchard for helping us raise $100,000 in just a short amount of time. I am proud to be a part of such a caring community. Thank you and thank the others around you that helped.”

Its current site at 1209 Bay St., is now owned by Bruce Titus Ford. The business purchased the lot and its commercial building last spring.

It soon will make way for an expansion of the Ford dealership once St. Vincent de Paul vacates in January.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To donate to St. Vincent de Paul, write a check to the agency and clearly designate “the donation for the “Building Fund.” Sean Jeu, St. Vincent general manager and director of operations, said Feb. 23 that $51,341 has been raised. He’s optimistic their lofty $100,000 goal will be reached, thanks to the generosity of the Port Orchard community.
