The local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will host a meeting of community leaders beginning at 11 a.m. Oct. 4 at the United Way Building 645 Fourth Street in downtown Bremerton.
The meeting is to help connect and expand best leadership practices within our community service areas. The NAACP hopes to discuss constructive ways to strengthen our current partnership network.
An invitation was sent to community leaders in September inviting local leaders to the Community Leadership Gathering.
Lionel Collins, president of the Bremerton Branch of the NAACP said the response to our invitation was better than expected.
“Within two days of receiving the invitation nine community leaders replied they would be attending,” said Collins.
Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call Lionel Collins at 360-481-6019.
