Commissioner-elect Ed Wolfe names transition team

The transition team will function as an ad hoc task force, and will complete their work by year’s end

Central Kitsap Commissioner-Elect Ed Wolfe has announced his transition team to assist him in the weeks ahead as he prepares to begin his commission term.

“My years of experience in government, law and the private sector have prepared me to serve as a County Commissioner”, said Wolfe. “Part of that preparation includes surrounding myself with those who can provide the best guidance and advice on how to get to work quickly and efficiently”.

Wolfe’s transition team includes Patty Lent, Bremerton Mayor and former Central Kitsap Commissioner, Al Townsend, Poulsbo Police Chief, Alice Tawresey, Olympic College Trustee and former Winslow Mayor, Jon Rose, President of Olympic Property Group, Teresa Osinski, Home Builders Association of Kitsap County Executive Vice President, Daryl Daugs, Organizational Management Specialist, Guy Stitt, Ambassador to the Navy, and Steve Sego, Land Use and Public Policy Advisor.

“I’m honored to have been elected by the voters of Kitsap County”, added Wolfe.  “Now it’s time to get to work, and this team of community leaders who each bring valuable and diverse experience, will help me begin with the information I need to serve more effectively”.

The transition team will function as an ad hoc task force, and will complete their work by year’s end.  They convened Friday and plan  to meet again in the weeks ahead.

Wolfe won the Central Kitsap primary election with nearly 54 percent of the vote, and was elected by a majority in the general election.

Because current commissioner Linda Streissguth was appointed to fill a vacant commission seat, Wolfe will begin his term after the election is certified on November 25th.
