The Kingston girls and North Kitsap boys basketball teams know who they will face as they head to their respective state tournaments beginning Wednesday.
The Bucs, after winning the Class 2A West Central District tournament Saturday versus Eatonville, will open state play against the River Ridge Hawks of Lacey. They will face off at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Yakima SunDome. Kingston lost to the Hawks last year in the first round of the state tourney, 64-31, but came back and beat them at the beginning of this season, 58-40.
North Kitsap nabbed the No. 7 seed in the Class 3A tournament Saturday by beating Kennedy, and drew Meadowdale in the first round. The Vikings will play the Mavericks at noon Wednesday in the Tacoma Dome.
