I want to share the incredible experience I had running for Poulsbo City Council and thank every citizen I met during the campaign.
I wish everyone could have the experience I had with getting deeply engaged in our community and seeing firsthand how well our city is run after attending months of City Council meetings; and meeting with thousands of Poulsbo residents who told me again and again how proud they are to live in Poulsbo, how happy they are with the city, and how thankful they are for our exemplary city leadership.
We have a strong mayor and City Council who work hard for Poulsbo as public servants, and I was inspired to see how each one of them cares so deeply for the city and the greater good during this process. I have learned so much and met so many incredible people that my heart is filled with gratitude for this experience and I look forward to what the future brings.
Last week, I was elected chairwoman of the Kitsap County Arts Board and I look forward to supporting our mission by promoting, “excellence, access, education and diversity in the arts, in order to improve the quality of life for all Kitsap residents.”
I wish our reelected mayor, City Council members, and new North Kitsap School Board members all the best. Thank you all so much. I am truly honored to have run for City Council in the Viking City.
