Mighty Knights football camp
The Bremerton High School football program is hosting the fifth annual Mighty Knights Pee Wee Football Camp from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 27-30.
Camp cost is $30 and each camper receives a T-shirt, daily snack and instruction on the basic fundamentals of football. Payment can be made July 27 at the on-site camp registration booth, beginning at 5 p.m. Only cash, money orders or checks will be accepted.
This is a non-contact camp and is open to players ages 6 to 14. All players must complete the registration form. Due to construction at Memorial Stadium, the camp is at Mountain View Middle School, 2400 Perry Ave., behind the school on the new field. Pumas to be
on-hand at Whale of a Run
The Kitsap Pumas will be on hand to work the course at tomorrow’s Whale of a Run, sponsored by the Doctors Clinic.
The all-volunteer Whale of a Run is the area’s largest foot race. Pumas players will be at the finish line as well as various points along the course to give race-goers an opportunity to meet the club. Participants also will be entered in a raffle to win tickets to see the Pumas first-ever playoff match, which at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow.

Semancik golf tournament
The seventh annual Semancik Memorial/Bremerton Alumni golf tournament is Sept. 12 at Rolling Hills Golf Course in Bremerton. Action begins at 8 a.m.
Limited to 36 foursomes, the tournament costs $60 per individual or $240 per foursome. It has filled each of the past six years.
The entry fee includes tee prizes, entry to the 5th Quarter Awards luncheon with a special speaker and the opportunity to be part of one of the biggest raffles and silent auctions in the area.
All proceeds toward post-secondary scholarships for Bremerton High School students who have overcome life-altering circumstances.

Tornadoes storm through Olympia tournament
The Tracyton Soccer Club GU13 Tornados took first place in the Kick in the Grass tournament last weekend in Olympia. The girls on the team, which is comprised of players from both Bremerton and Central Kitsap, are Emily Hickey, Emily Baumgartner, Miah Back, Ally Galeski, Taegen Hill, Jenna McKenzie, Amy Matchell, Chloe Parsons, Brielle Millermon, Tiffani Ferrell, Ellie Sullivan, Tessa Wood, Keyera Gaulden, Michayla Strange and Emma Coughlin. The team is coached by Rich Hickey and Gary Baumgartner.

conditioning
program
The program is open to all seventh- through 12th-grade students who would like to stay in shape by developing their endurance through running and their core muscles through a variety of exercises.
Participants will meet Monday through Friday from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at different locations and utilize a pool one day each week.
