Reader not impressed with some politicians actions

I am a retired deputy sheriff and a U.S. Army veteran, and I am thoroughly disgusted with the way that people are disrespecting law enforcement officers and our men/women in the armed forces of the United States.

Not only is this happening with the general public, our politicians are enjoining this activity — this includes President Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and members of Congress. It is about time that our elected officials show respect to people that put their lives in danger everyday of their lives.

A law enforcement officer has no idea if they will come home alive, after each shift. But the politicians are quick to jump in and express their opinions, which are wrong after all the facts come out. The Democratic congressmen and women went out on the Capitol steps putting their hands up and yelled, “Don’t Shoot” after the shooting in Ferguson, Mo.

We have yet to see or hear any of these politicians apologize or say they were wrong.

If they can’t show some respect, they should at least “shut their mouths.” Because all they say are lies.

I personally applaud all of these brave men and women. It’s time for everyone in America, and especially our “stupid” politicians to do the same.
