BREMERTON – Olympic Sports Center, LLC announced March 21 that the City of Bremerton has unanimously approved the transfer of management of the Olympic Indoor Center at Pendergast Park from the Olympic Soccer and Sports Center ownership group to Olympic Sports Center, LLC.
Along with the transfer, a series of changes to the facility, its programs, and branding are already underway, according to a statement from Olympic Sports Center, LLC.
OSC appointed John Bales as the new general manager. He was the general manager at The Zone Sportsplex in Poulsbo prior to its sale.
“John is doing an amazing job of building a team environment and culture while integrating existing staff with new team members,” stated Bill Wright, managing partner of OSC. “Change can be intimidating for people, but with John’s easy manner and nurturing way, he is quickly gaining the trust and respect of the team and the prior team members are really stepping up to the challenge.”
Wright said he’s excited about the facility changes planned and believes the new facility management software — with online access and administration for members — will increase our efficiency and provide for a better user experience for our members.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience during the transition, and we are excited and feel blessed to have the opportunity to be building upon the incredible accomplishment of the prior ownership and take The Center to a new level that we, the community, have always envisioned,” said Wright.
The Center is hosting a Spring Fling Soccer Camp from March 31 to April 4 for boys and girls ages 7-14. It will feature soccer skills training by local soccer coaching standout Michael Donne.
Parents can choose from half to full day camp and may choose any number of days or the entire week. For more information, go online to www.olympicsportscenter.com, call 360-479-8388 or email info@olympicsportscenter.com.
The Center has three turf fields – used primarily for indoor soccer, a batting cage, three multi use conference rooms, and a massage therapist on site. The facility also includes a café and pub for the public’s enjoyment.
