Shiloh Schroeder Design changes name to Fusion Creative Works

Shiloh Schroeder Design is now Fusion Creative Works.

Based in Poulsbo, the graphic design shop will continue to provide a full range of web and print services to its customers throughout the region. In addition to building Web sites, Fusion Creative Works creates advertising, marketing, sales and packaging materials for clients in a variety of industries.

Paladin Data welcomes new employees

Paladin Data Systems Corporation of Poulsbo continues the growth seen in 2008 with the hiring of three new employees in January.

Previously listed as one of the fastest growing companies in Washington State, Paladin continues to buck the national trend of downsizing by increasing the employee base. “In the fourth quarter alone we hired (six) new people, including our Chief Financial Officer Gary Anderson, two products managers, an accounting assistant, a software engineer and a senior software engineer,” states Michelle Dvorak, Paladin’s Business Operations Manager. “We plan to continue growing our employee base in 2009.”

Stacey Ames was hired as the new marketing specialist.

With more than 13 years of marketing experience, most recently as the senior marketing manager at Kitsap Mall, she moved to Kitsap County nine years ago from Reno, Nev., where she received her degree in marketing. Ames will assist in the design and production of in-house collateral materials, coordination of external advertising and development of marketing strategies.

Jake Christensen joined Paladin as a software engineer and is currently working on the ASM version 3 team. Christensen returned home to Kitsap County after spending five years in Baltimore, Md., where he received his master’s degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University while he worked as a software engineer for Lockheed Martin.

Dennis Johnson came on board as the new product manager for Paladin’s InterLocking Software products. Johnson has 20 years of experience in IT consulting, business development, software development, product and program management.

“I am pleased to have the opportunity to work in a pleasant environment with talented people and great products,” Johnson said about his joining Paladin.

The increase in the number of employees is necessitated by the continuing growth in the number and scope of contracts being signed. Recently, Paladin signed a contract with the city of Yakima for the custom development of a utility billing system. Mountlake Terrace just signed a contract for the permit and planning and code enforcement modules, which are a part of the local government suite of solutions.

Architecture firm opens in Poulsbo

The architecture firm Streamline Design Group, LLC, opened an office in Poulsbo this month to compliment its first office location of more than 5 years located in Gig Harbor. Firm partner Jason Fowers and lead Architect Aaron Murphy, both Poulsbo residents, have been working to bring this opportunity to fruition for the past year. Fowers and Murphy now split their time between the two office locations on a flexible basis each week according to their client’s needs and schedules. SDG provides full architectural services for both commercial and residential architecture, providing more than 35 years of combined staff experience to their clients.

SDG wanted to position the firm geographically to better serve their growing client base in north Kitsap and onto the Olympic Peninsula.
