North Kitsap’s prep lacrosse team finished third in the Narrows/Olympic Conference with a record of 7-6-0, earning a playoff berth. North Kitsap plays Columbia River (7-3-0, Central-South Division II) at 5 p.m. May 14 in Camas.

POULSBO — North Kitsap’s prep lacrosse team finished third in the Narrows/Olympic Conference with a record of 7-6-0, earning a playoff berth.

North Kitsap plays Columbia River (7-3-0, Central-South Division II) at 5 p.m. May 14 in Camas.

Conference champ Klahowya (11-1-0) hosts Inglemoor (4-10-0) at 6 p.m. on May 13. Klahowya clinched home-field advantage for the first-round playoff game with a 10-8 win over Vashon on May 4.

North Kitsap has had a solid year, marked by a turnaround from an early 1-4 season. In addition, of all players in the 74-team Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association, the following North Kitsap athletes are in the top 10:

No. 1 in goals: Kellson Arthurs, North Kitsap, with 57.
No. 2 in goals: Derek Jacobson, North Kitsap, with 44.
No. 2 in assists: Derek Jacobson, North Kitsap, with 19.
No. 2 in ground balls: Kellson Arthurs, North Kitsap, with 122.
No. 4 in save percentage: Ian Poffenroth, North Kitsap, with .394.

The North Kitsap lacrosse team is not affiliated with North Kitsap High School, and they’re not the Vikings — just North Kitsap — head coach Joseph Bates said.

Playing for the team are students from North Kitsap High School, Kingston High School, Chief Kitsap Academy, and West Sound Academy.
