Tracyton Tornados
The Tracyton Tornados GU13 soccer team won the 2009 Wenatchee Apple Cup Tournament, going 5-0 and defeating the North Idaho Avalanche 2-1 in the championship.
Team members are Emily Hickey, Emily Baumgartner, Ally Galeski, Miah Felix, Brielle Millermon, Tiffani Ferrell, Taegen Hill, Jenna McKenzie, Amy Matchell, Ellie Sullivan, Tessa Wood, Keyera Gaulden, Emma Padilla Coughlin, Megan Steiner and Chloe Parsons.

State Soccer Shoot
Seven Bremerton Elks, ranging from 7 to 13 years old, participated in the Oct. 4 State Soccer Shoot, sponsored by the Washington State Elks Association:
Emily Thorton, GU14, first place; Shelby Muhleman, GU14, first place; Maxxwell Plum, BU14, first place; Kaya McGill, GU8, second place; Sydney Troy, GU10, second place; and Tate Mckay, BU12, second place.
Muhleman was named Most Valuable Player in the Grid Goal Competition.

Basketball training sessions
High school boys basketball players are invited to attend training sessions from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 18 and 25 and Nov. 1 and 8 to prepare for the upcoming season.
Each session will consist of skill development and conditioning with 30 minutes of controlled scrimmages. Players may attend as few or as many sessions as they wish.
The sessions, instructed by Rick Walker and Craig Murray, are at Crosspoint Academy (formerly King’s West School), 4012 Chico Way NW in Bremerton. Army-Navy rugby game
The eighth annual Army-Navy rugby game is Nov. 21 and Kitsap will play host. The Kitsap Rugby Football Union is actively seeking military players (Navy, Marine or Coast Guard — active duty or reservist) who would like to be on the Navy team for this event. KRFU is developing a Navy team specifically for this event and practices from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the upper softball fields on Naval Base Kitsap.
