POULSBO — Michael D. McCarroll was charged with allegedly delivering and possessing a controlled substance following a warranted search of a home on the border of Poulsbo and Suquamish Sept. 18.

As of the afternoon of Sept. 19, McCarroll was on the Kitsap County Jail roster for two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, and unlawful use of a building for drug purposes, according to charging documents. Bail is set at $150,000, according to the jail roster.

McCarroll was arrested Sept. 18 at a home on the corner of Finley Road and Totten Road by officers from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Department and West Sound Narcotics Enforcement Team. The home’s doorway is about 320 feet away from a school-bus stop, according to charging documents, citing the North Kitsap School District’s website.

McCarroll allegedly sold two police operatives methamphetamine during two separate weeklong investigations, according to the documents. During the course of the investigation, which began in June, one police operative reported McCarroll sold him or her methamphetamine “in excess of 20 times.”

During the warrant search of the bedroom associated with McCarroll Sept. 18, officers found a digital scale, bongs (one of which had white film on the glass, consistent with smoking meth), and 9.7 grams of meth, according to the documents.

Law enforcement also found a total of 8.6 grams of heroin and .9 grams of meth inside a box in a hallway closet, according to the documents.

McCarroll had $939 in his wallet, which was found by a narcotics dog to have a drug scent, according to the documents.
