Coldnote plays the Passage July 2

The Clearwater Casino’s summer-long series of free outdoor concerts has seen audiences in the thousands and both national and regional acts over its budding four-year history.

Cashing in on the series’ success, this year, the Clearwater reeled in country music magnate Colin Ray, Mr. “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head” BJ Thomas, the world-famous Hell’s Belles and five-time Grammy and Oscar award winner Christopher Cross — all of which will come with an admission price this year.

See the “entertainment” section of www.clearwatercasino.com for a full list.

Coldnote, which kicks off the series at 5 p.m. July 2, is the first Kitsap-local band (beyond the Kitsap-rooted Hell’s Belles) that’s been invited to play the Passage, which is fitting given that they’ve been asked to play all over the place of late, from the Nectar in Fremont to the Wild Buffalo in Bellingham to the Showbox at the Market.

Check back in next week’s edition for more on them and their forthcoming debut album.
