SILVERDALE —Kitsap Humane Society will participate in Project Connect in Bremerton on Jan. 28, to help pets of low-income and homeless families.

The event provides free services to homeless families or those at-risk of being homeless.

KHS will provide free rabies vaccines to pets at the event as well as free pet food. Currently, KHS is collecting cat and dog food (both wet and dry) for the event.

To donate food for this event, drop off items at the shelter at 9167 Dickey Road NW, Silverdale by Jan. 27.
