Kitsap County residents are invited to join other community members in an effort to clean up the shorelines of Sinclair Inlet. The official clean up will take place this Saturday, April 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Areas that will be covered include the Bremerton shoreline from the Marina to the Manette Bridge, Manette from the Boat Shed Restaurant to Bachman Park, Silverdale Waterfront Park and Port Orhard’s Annapolis Pier.

“Participants will see first-hand the negative effects that litter can have on our economy, wildlife, and recreational pursuits,” the county said in a press release. “Our region relies on tourism and recreation, but who wants to fish, boat, swim, or sight-see while surrounded by trash? Wildlife can be harmed by mistaking litter for food or becoming entangled in rope or plastic bags.”
