LITTLE BOSTON — Gunnar Bror Nystrom III was born on Nov. 15, 1957 in Habertown, Pennsylvania, to Ruth Ann Purser and Gunnar Bror Nystrom Jr.
The Creator called him home on the afternoon of Dec. 16, surrounded by the presence and love of his family.
He was 57.
In October 1975, at the young age of 17, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed in Colon, Panama, where he guarded over the Panama Canal. He was honorably discharged from his service in 1978.
He was an enrolled elder of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe.
His interests included shooting pool, card games, corny jokes, chess, clam digging, fishing, and Jeopardy. He cherished time spent with family and friends.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Ann and Dan Anderson of Kingston; brothers, Lowell and Alan Nystrom, and Tommy Doleman; sisters, Lori Nystrom-Fischer, Kim Nystrom, Sandy Nystrom, Stephanie Dahlberg; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Edward Nystrom.
