PLAY READING: The Jewel Box Theatre is proud to offer script-in-hand performances for audiences in a new and accessible form. At 8 p.m. Saturday, March 27, the Jewel Box Theatre will present the second play of The Play Reading Series, “Mere Mortals and Others” by David Ives and directed by Fred Saas. The evening will include six, one-act plays from Ives, considered the king of short one-act plays. There will be few if any props. Costumes will be suggested. SEEKING VOLUNTEERS: The Nature Conservancy is looking for volunteer stewards to help monitor Foulweather Bluff preserve, a nature preserve in northern Kitsap County near Hansville. Our stewards visit the preserve during busy summer months and keep us informed of activities there. Shifts are two hours, twice per month.
