Midwest punk, rock in Bremerton this weekend

Psychedelic Pink Floyd tribute band Blind Floyd plays Bremerton’s The Manette, 2113 E. 11th St., at 9 p.m. Friday, May 14. Post-punk alt rockers The New Affair travel from the Windy City to Winterland, 1220 Sylvan Way, Bremerton, proffering new full-length album, “By Accident By Design,” at 9 p.m. Friday, May 14, alongside Safari and The Great Alone. Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank trek from the lakes of Minnesota to Winterland at 9 p.m. Saturday, May 15, peddling their album “Traveling Show” and their bluesy folk sounds, visceral ballads and rock n’ roll burners.

Ballard cider punks the Stillborn Again Christians roll into Bremerton for The Charleston Music Venue’s Billy Mays Fest, alongside Bremerton punk band Atracity, Suirrel Corpse, Y.I.A., The Americommies and Kitsap’s politically incorrect Generation Decline. The show runs 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 14. Port Orchard death metalists Ground Level Vertigo, Pangea, Versailles and End of Expectations hit the Chuck, 333 N. Callow Ave., at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 15. Next week, Shelton thrash band Games of Slaughter plays the Chuck with well-coiffed hardcore Lynden rockers Better Yet Run at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 19. Poulsbo rock-folk fusion Sea of Misinformation plays the Chuck along with Lemolo and Earth Kiss Resonance at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 20.
