CHIEF SEATTLE DAYS: The Suquamish Tribe annually sponsors Chief Seattle Days in downtown Suquamish on the third full weekend of August.This year the festivities will be from Aug. 14-16. The tribe honors its famous leader with a princess contest and teen dance on Friday night, a memorial service at his grave in the Suquamish Tribal Cemetery on Saturday morning, and Indian canoe races, salmon bake and pow-wow on Saturday and Sunday.
