‘You got me’
Bremerton Police and Kitsap County sheriff’s detectives served a search warrant on a 35-year-old Bremerton man’s home in the 900 block of Pleasant Avenue in Bremerton and his car around 5:30 p.m. July 23. The warrant pertained to unlawful possession of a firearm and selling methamphetamine.
Detectives found the man and his car at Chips Casino on Riddell Road in Bremerton. They searched the vehicle and found baggies of meth inside, a digital scale and multiple empty baggies used to store and sell meth. They also found mobile GPS units, car keys and money.
The man told detectives he had about 2.5 grams of meth left and had been selling meth that day. He added, “I am (expletive deleted)! You got me.”
Bremerton Police searched the man’s residence and found a handgun, packaged marijuana and baggies of meth.
Detectives arrested a 32-year-old woman at the home. She was booked into jail for violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act: possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Her bail is set at $50,000.

Mom’s gonna be real mad
A sheriff’s deputy stopped a car in the 5200 block of Long Lake Road SE in South Kitsap at 8:30 p.m. July 22 for speeding.
The 55-year-old South Kitsap man driving the vehicle appeared intoxicated and the deputy led him through a field sobriety test.
The man attempted to recite the alphabet, but recited A through J, then repeated H, I, G and then H, never completing the entire sequence.
The man then started the standing balance test before the deputy was finished giving him instructions.
The deputy had the man walk six steps then turn around and walk another six steps, but after the first six steps the man couldn’t remember the rest of the instructions.
The man took a portable Breathalyzer test and blew a .198.
He told the deputy his mother was going to be mad at him for arresting her son.
The 44-year-old Poulsbo woman who was in the car with the man refused to talk to the deputy, so he told her since he was unsure if she had been drinking, the car was going to be impounded and she needed to find a ride home.
She then gave the deputy an obscene hand gesture.
As the woman walked to a nearby store to wait for a ride, she again gave the deputy an obscene hand gesture.
When her ride arrived and they pulled away from the scene, she gave the deputy one last obscene hand gesture.
While en route to jail, the man repeatedly asked the deputy to just give him a ride home. When his requests were denied, he called the deputy obscene names, then said he was a hero for doing his job.
He was arrested and booked into jail for DUI and later released.
Possession is nine-tenths
Sheriff’s detectives and deputies searched a home in the 9600 block of NW Pioneer Road in Seabeck at 3 p.m. July 21 in regard to a 48-year-old man unlawfully possessing firearms.
Detectives noticed an empty brown gun safe on the front porch and a no shooting sign with bullet holes in it as well as cameras on top of the home that appeared to be monitoring the driveway and road.
The man answered the door and police took him into custody for an outstanding warrant before searching the home.
Detectives found numerous rounds of live ammunition and a .22-caliber rifle.
As they continued the search, a vehicle pulled into the driveway. The 24-year-old transient man in the passenger seat appeared nervous and had a black backpack under his legs. He said the backpack wasn’t his and walked away on foot. Deputies arrested the 48-year-old Grapeview man driving the vehicle for outstanding warrants.
The Grapeview man told police the backpack did belong to the 24-year-old and a detective found two loaded pistols inside.
A deputy and K-9 searched the area and found the man hiding in the woods. He again said the backpack was not his.
While en route to jail, the 24-year-old kept telling the deputy the guns were not his and that possession is nine-tenths of the law.
The deputy told him fingerprints might tell a different story and the man said the Grapeview man showed him the guns earlier and asked him if he wanted to buy them.
He picked them up and looked them over before deciding he didn’t want them, so his fingerprints would be on them.
The Seabeck man was arrested and booked into jail for first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. He was later released.
The Grapeview man was arrested and booked into jail for outstanding warrants. His bail is set at $12,500.
The transient man was arrested and booked into jail for second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. His bail is set at $5,000.
Motorcycle rider seriously injured in crash
A 54-year-old Silverdale woman was seriously injured near Brinnon July 26 when her motorcycle hit a guardrail, sending her flying into a tree.
The woman was traveling northbound on Highway 101 with a group of motorcycle riders at about 9:30 a.m. when her motorcycle veered to the right off the roadway, hit a guardrail and traveled along it for about 35 feet before she was ejected and hit a tree about 20 feet down a ravine, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The woman was wearing a helmet and sustained back injuries. She was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
