Begin the holiday season in Kingston on Dec. 13 with the Holiday Home Tour, sponsored by the Downtown Kingston Association. Five homes will be all decked out in holiday splender to provide great ideas to spark seasonal decorating. The homes, large and small, offer Northwest views of the water or mountains, each with a touch of individuality.

The home tour runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is recommended for adults only. No photography will be allowed inside the homes.

As an added bonus, interior designer Susan Rodgers will give two decorating seminars at Cleo’s Landing Learning Center for the Arts, located at Highway 104 and West Kingston Road, connected to the Kingston Art Gallery.

Rodgers will have a morning seminar, 9:30-10:30 a.m., on “Changing Your Home’s Interiors? Where you start!” with some simple guidelines for understanding the process of interior design.

Her afternoon session from 3-4 p.m. will be “Good Bones – Simple Fixes!” Beautiful interiors start with timeless basics in place that allow simple changes to be made for years.

Tickets for the home tour are $15 and available at the following Kingston locations: Kingston Chamber of Commerce, Kingston Quilt Shop, American Marine Bank,

Kitsap Bank, John L. Scott and Windermere Real Estate.

All proceeds help subsidize the Concerts on the Cove summer series at the Port of Kingston, sponsored by Downtown Kingston Association.
