SUQUAMISH — Sean N. Steele, 19 of Bremerton, is charged with unlawful use of a gas bomb, explosive or stink bomb at Clearwater Casino.

On July 5 at about 1 a.m., Suquamish Police requested assistance from the Kitsap County Sheriff bomb squad about a possible improvised sparkler bomb at the Clearwater Casino in Suquamish.

According to the report, casino security found what looked to be an unexploded sparkler improvised devise “and other things” along an exit door on the north side of the casino. Security saw the suspect on video surveillance, later identified at Steele, walk up to an emergency exit door and place items by a tree and then walk into the casino.

After security found Steele, he reportedly admitted he planned to light it off but denied making it. According to the report, Steele later told deputies he did make the illegal explosive devise.

The package was approximately 1 inch in diameter and 12 inches long, containing 24 metal stick sparklers wrapped in white-colored electrical tape, with a single sparkler sicking out as an initiator.
