This year, our annual toy shop was held at First Lutheran Church Community Center for the fourth year in a row. The toy shop ran three days, Dec. 12-14, with the help of more than a dozen church members serving as personal shoppers.
Toys were provided to approximately 416 children. We received a donation of gift cards that we were able to give to some of the older teens and to new families who would not otherwise be able to give their children Christmas gifts.
Several area businesses and private citizens donated toys and/or cash to the effort. The total value of new toys, gift cards and monetary donations totaled nearly $27,055!
