SILVERDALE — Studies have shown that the most aggressive forms of breast cancer develop when a woman is in her 20s.
In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Harrison Medical Center and Olympic College nursing students will present a free health talk, “Breast Health & You — Life Saving Skills for All Ages” on Oct. 1, 6-7 p.m., in the Garden Room at Harrison Medical Center, 1800 Myhre Road, Silverdale.
Learn about breast-cancer signs, symptoms, prevention, and how to perform a proper breast self-exam at home.
Early detection and attention are key to catching cancer early, when treatments are most effective. This event is suitable for all ages and especially helpful for parents and educators.
