POULSBO — There will be something for everyone at this weekend’s Arts Festival and Summer Street Dance, food, music, artist booths.

But most notably, a family-friendly beer garden, designed to allow parents to drink a beer without leaving the kids on the sidewalk.

And weather forecasters are predicting the rain will dry up for the weekend.

The Arts Festival will be held Friday from noon to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. About 40 local artists are expected to attend and show their work.

It’s the second Summer Street Dance, to be held Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tammy Mattson, co-owner of Tizley’s Europub, said at last year’s event the question was posed to the crowd, should there be another?

“They started chanting, ‘Every year, every year,’” said Mattson. “So this is a response to that.”

The street dance is geared for local residents, Mattson said, and is not promoted outside the city.

“It’s all about local,” Mattson said.

After a week of rainy weather, the skies are expected to relent just in time. Current predictions for Saturday and Sunday call for partly cloudy weather with highs in the 70s.

“We’re going to have a party,” Mattson said.
