leads the Legion pack
On Saturday Kitsap Baseball Post 68 suffered a double header loss to the Northwest Titans, 13-11 and 8-2.
Game one: Kitsap Baseball out hit the Northwest Titans 15-10, but gave up 10 walks and made four errors. Jamaal Smith and Robert Jordan pitched while Josh Horst caught. From the Plate: Andy Smith, three hits and two RBI; Kramer Uvila, two hits and one RBI; James Smith, two hits and one RBI; Jordan Green, one hit a double; Bradley Durham, two hits and three RBI; Kyle Murray, two hits a double and a homer and two RBI; and Reuben Smith, two hits, including a double and one RBI.
Game two: Murray, Reuben Smith and Horst pitched while Jamaal Smith caught. From the plate: There were no multiple hits or extra base hits. James Smith, Reuben Smith and Murray each had an RBI.
On Sunday the Post rallied and won a double header against Graham-Kapowsin, 11-9 and 11-1.

The Post has a 26-9-1 record and is in first place in Legion play.
Today the Post plays in the Senior Babe Ruth Regional Tournament with a game against Lower Columbia at 7:30 p.m. at the Kitsap Fairgrounds. Tomorrow at Legion Field the Post takes on Crater Lake from Klamath Falls, Ore. at 7:00 p.m. On Friday the Post battles the NW Star Academy out of Portland, Ore. at 4:30 p.m. On Saturday the Post plays the Latah County Warriors from Moscow, Idaho at 7:00 p.m. The Post needs to finish in the top two within its pool to advance to the championship round on Sunday.
NK Chaos performs
well at tournament
Last weekend the North Kitsap Soccer Club GU15 select team NK Chaos placed second at the Tumwater Soccer Club Kick in the Grass Tournament.
Game one: the Chaos defeated the Rangers, 4-1. Bryton Wildsmith, Rachel Fisk and Lindsey Foster scored the goals for Chaos.
Game two: the Chaos beat the Shoreline Tide, 4-1. Foster and Teresa Morrell scored the goals.
Game three Semi-Final: the Chaos defeated the Alliance, 3-1. Fisk, Wildsmith and Foster combined to score the goals for Chaos.
The Chaos’ next tournament is the Bigfoot Tournament in Snohomish Aug. 14-17.
